Recent Events: November - December 2011

On Christmas Eve the story of the first Christmas was told to a packed church with children coming forward to place figures in the crib.

The mystery of the incarnation was celebrated in a full choral setting at midnight and again on Christmas morning when we were invited to ponder the question "What did we give for Christmas?"

Following their sleepover in Church, the young people of St Peter's Youth Group joined the fellowship breakfast. Kirsty, Bevan and the team produced bacon butties and hot dogs to augment the usual fare. Father Edward led the discussion around the final Advent reading.

Lessons were read by a number of members of the community and the choir led the congregation in a selection of traditional carols interspersed with some specially prepared seasonal pieces.

8th December

The Talent Show proved that Britain certainly has got talent - and that there is no shortage amongst the members of St Peter's Youth Group. The audience were presented with a wide range of entertainment from singers to instrumentalists, dancers and stand-up comics. The evening ended with the leaders demonstrating their own unique style of comedy.
