Some thoughts about Northbourne Church of England Primary School from Year 6 leavers:
I have really enjoyed P.E. because it is entertaining. I have learnt that if you keep an eye on the ball in rounders, you will hit the ball further. I also have loved working with new people and making new friends. However, the thing I have enjoyed the most is being at Northbourne.
I have enjoyed learning different subjects at school that involve art, due to the fact that my favourite subject at school is art. I loved making the peacock in Owl Class, it was made out of different crafty things. I also have recently enjoyed playing rounders in P.E. with Mr Pear teaching us as it is fun and active.
I’ve really enjoyed learning about different sports at Northbourne. One sport I have learnt about is Gaelic football. I like football but Gaelic football is different because you use your hands as well.
Why is Northbourne so special? Being at Northbourne has been amazing. Every teacher and T.A. has been so kind and helpful. If I look back, all my memories here are so happy. Thank you for the past few years we have had at Northbourne. We will miss it! Thank you so much.
What Year 6 leavers are looking forward to next
Zara: I am looking forward to meeting new people and learning new things.
I am looking forward to meeting new friends to have fun with and reading new books. I can’t wait to meet my new teachers and get used to my new school.
The things that I am looking forward to at my new school are the challenging work and the variety of new subjects.
And the Year 6 leavers say goodbye to two staff members...
Karl: Mrs Pawlik
Thank you for everything you have done for our school since you joined Northbourne. Kites and Wrens have really enjoyed you teaching them, along with many other classes you have taught. We hope you enjoy your new school.
Caitlin: Mrs Palmer
We are really sad to hear that you are leaving. Thank you for everything you have done for our school. Many children have been lucky enough to be taught by you. We hope you come back and visit us. Thank you very much.
Revd Hannah then prayed over and blessed each leaver individually.
